The score has arrived and I’m so looking forward to working on this opera. I’ll be performing the lead role of ‘Sticks’ in the Buxton International Festival production of The Orphans of Koombu. We meet our amazing children’s chorus soon and they have already been working so hard this month with Tom Newall Conductor to learn all about opera and their music. I’m also very excited to be sharing this adventure with Fiona Finsbury & Edward Robinson as we find out the secrets of Koombu 💧
Preview performances will be in May at each of the schools involved. The Opera will be running at the Buxton International Festival from 12th-20th July at 10:30am. Tickets available on the BIF website.
